Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.
Albert Einstein (1879–1955) was a German-born physicist and the author of the special and general theories of relativity. He received the Nobel Prize in 1921, not for relativity but for explaining the photoelectric effect. After the Nazis came to power he emigrated to the United States, spending the rest of his life at Princeton.
About this theme: Wisdom
In the Western tradition wisdom is almost always defined by what it is not. Socrates is famous for claiming to know that he knew nothing; that was not modesty but method. Knowledge is a set of facts, wisdom is knowing what to do with them — and, more often, knowing when there are not enough of them.
